With a new year approaching, there's always the tendency to set goals for what one hopes to accomplish. A goal that is at the top of my list is to create an outlet for my party ideas. First let me explain the name of the blog and why it makes sense for this blog. I am the mom of a wonderful little girl named Lailah, who is the center of my world and the recipient of all my party ideas. She is the best of her dad and me brought together; a culmination of loveliness. The name Ahlaiyo has two very interesting origins, first the letters come from all our names and while doing a google search on the name, I found that it is referenced in the film "A Raisin in the Sun," where the definition is 'One for whom bread is not enough,' loosely interpreted to mean a person not satisfied with the basics, but rather that person who is always seeking more from life. Party planning is my escape from all of the stress that allows me to dream and make inspiration a reality, and I've come across amazing ideas while online. So this is my attempt to bring all of the loveliness together to possibly inspire you to plan your own soiree.
